The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has called on the United Nations (UN) and the government of the United Kingdom (UK) to tell Nigerian government to produce Nnamdi Kanu, its leader. According to Vanguard, IPOB on Wednesday September 27 said Kanu has not been seen since a detachment of soldiers stormed his residence on Thursday, 14 September. In a statement signed by Emma Powerful, the group media and publicity secretary. The statement read: ''Ever since the brutal assault that left 28 persons dead inside his compound, including two of his cousins, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, along with his parents, Eze Israel Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu, has not been seen. ''The video footage of the assault and the extent of destruction wreaked on his family home are in the public domain. ''Video clips and photographs of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s bedroom riddled with bullet holes from the guns of the Nigerian soldiers that stormed the palace are evident. The soldiers also took away a lot of valuable materials from the palace. ''It is the duty of the civilized nations to ask President Buhari, General Buratai and the governors of the southeast what they did with our leader because we will not stop until justice is done.''The world has a moral duty and obligation to put an end to dictatorial regimes such as we are witnessing in Nigeria today".
