Tottenham star Danny Rose fined two weeks' wages after complaints


Defender Danny Rose has been fined by his club Tottenham - They club's chiefs are not happy with his recent attack on them - He will not be paid for the next two weeks and he could also be sold Premier League campaigners Tottenham have angrily fined star defender Danny Rose two weeks' wages following his recent outburst about the club. The Englishman who is on £65,000-a-week deal at White Hart Lane hit out at the club that he was under paid and also said Spurs should be signing big players. I am not that person,'' Rose was quoted to have said. Meanwhile, Danny Rose on his part has has issued an apology to Tottenham for the "ill-judged" timing and manner of his recent comments about the club. "My words were not meant to offend," said Rose in a statement released by his management company. He added: "For that I would like to apologise to the chairman, manager, my team-mates and the fans." Rose has been at Tottenham for over a decade after joining from Leeds United in July 2007. He has made 144 appearances for the club after becoming a first-team regular in 2013. Tottenham, who travel to Newcastle for their Premier League opener on Sunday, have not signed any players this summer.
