Austin Okai Shade Fanwo, Says He Is An Underdog

For daring to challenge former governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, PDP National Youth Frontier (PDPNYF) has described Governor Yahaya Bello’s spokesman, Kingsley Fanwo as a political underdog who does not know his bearing.

A statement issued to media men by PDPNYF’s coordinator, Comrade Austin Okai, described Fanwo as a jack of all trade who will end up as master of none.

The group alleged that Fanwo was working as a freelance media man in the office of the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Architect Yomi Awoniyi.


“It will be recalled that during the campaign for the re-election of the former governor,‎ Capt Idris Wada, Fanwo played the roles of media tout and gate-crasher before he was eventually accredited to join the campaign team.

“This is the same Kingsley Fanwo‎ that was criss-crossing offices of political appointees and disguised as a strongly rooted PDP loyalist but has now shamelessly turned to an advocate of the counterfeited change mantra that had impoverished Kogites and Nigerians.

“For daring to challenge the former governor, it is crystal clear that he is in the class of untrained, uncultured and ill-bred individuals that lacks the basic orientation of his kinsmen that have so much respect for the elderly one‎s,” he said.

He challenged the governor’s media aide to a public debate on the extent of his political affiliations with former Kogi Deputy Governor and his loyalty to PDP until the turn of events.

Okai said the success of the just concluded PDP ward and local government congresses across the state is causing the Yahaya Bello-led government nightmares. He said PDP is gaining popularity everyday especially in the face on bad governance in the state.
