Jose Mourinho says his side do not miss Paul Pogba and other injured players
The Frenchman has missed the last five games with United impressing in those games
Marouane Fellaini has impressed in midfield in the 24-year-old's absence so far
Jose Mourinho has warned Paul Pogba that he would have to fight for his spot in the Manchester United team as the Red Devils have impressed in his absence. The Old Trafford side have secured huge wins over Crystal Palace, Southampton and Everton, as well as cup victories over Burton Albion and CSKA Moscow in the Frenchman's absence. Pogba has been injured since Manchester United's first Champions League group game against Basel. Mourinho has now said his side are not as reliant on the France international as some believe, report the Manchester Evening News. Marouane Fellaini has scored three times in Pogba's absence and Mourinho believes the Belgian's impact underlines the trust he has in United's squad members."We never miss the players that are injured," Mourinho said after it was suggested United are not missing Pogba. "That's our way of seeing [it]. They are injured, we don't think about them. It's an opportunity for others, is a moment for others to step up and to get the chance, so I think that's good."When we moan all the time about injuries it looks like we don't trust the other people and we have to."
